WELCOME to Travel Literature - the place to read (and write) about travel writing. From classics of the genre to less well-known works; from guidebooks to journeys of self-discovery, Travel Literature aims to cover them all. And look out for our upcoming series of articles on some of the great travel writers of our time.

But where to buy these books? Naturally, there are e-tailers such as Amazon, but actual bookshops also still exist, and some of them specialise in travel writing, maps, guidebooks and other travel literature. We are building a directory of these outlets, and will occasionally feature individual shops. The list will include second-hand bookshops as well. If you have a favourite travel bookshop that is not on the list, please let us know.
